TitICU Chapter 5
The area suddenly became misty and about three degrees cooler. Able shivered from the sudden drop in temperature. What the hell. His shoulder was tapped on from behind. He turned and yelled. "What do you wa-" His mouth remained open as his eyes focused. Nothing. There was nothing behind him. Able closed his mouth and started muttering to himself.
"Sir Hoyle." His name was voiced. The sound resonated, bouncing off the trees that surrounded him. No one was around to say anything. His skin crawled up into patches of goose bumps. His hair stood on ends.
"W-who's there?" He mumbled. Then he demanded. "Who's there?!" No answer. The mist became whiter and denser. The only light was the reflection from the moon off the dense mist.
A black figure came into view. It's body low to the ground. The arms and legs were clearly seen as human, but it crawled as an animal. It swiftly moved towards him.
Able drew his sword. The double sided blade glowed in the low light. A magical aura surro

"Alright thanks ma'am, I'm heading out. We'll start at your place and then broaden our horizons." The officer spoke quickly into the phone. "Bye."

His friend slowly turned his head towards him and nodded very slowly and deliberately. "Boots, is this place the game?"
"I think so." Boots gasped and jumped startled. "LOOK!" He pointed down in front of them. The war from the previous night still raged on. The men fought until their blood decorated the green grass.
Neko stood slowly and gawked, "Look Boots, Captain Fang and Sgt Claw are down there!"
Boots stood up and saw his character still fighting with his arm in a bloody tourniquet. Boots also noticed that Sgt Claw was fighting from the ground. His leg a bloody mess. Boots trembled, scared, at what he saw. His character still fighting that war that had been lost last night.
"Neko, they're spirits." Boots mumbled.
"They're WHAT?" Neko yelled turning to his friend.
"Didn't you say we lost the war? Our characters lost their limbs in the final moments in battle."

"Boots." A female voice softly spoke to her son. "Are you awake? It's time for school."

"Mom, what time is it?" Boots asked rubbing his eyes.
"It's 9:30, you're going to be late Mr. Boots." She smiled warmly her hair complimenting her youth.
Boots giggled and coughed softly, yawning, a wheeze escaped from his bronchial tubes. "Okay, okay I'm getting up. Say, what's for breakfast?"
She smiled. "Do you want any help?" She asked as she sat on his bed. "Um, I was going to make hard boiled eggs, but since you got up late, how's pop tarts?"
"Nah, I'll be alright." He coughed as he stood up off the bed. "Pop tarts is alright, oh! Hey! Do you think I'll get my test back yet?"
His mother giggled, "I hope so. Though w
Within moments his eyes flashed open and the room began buzzing with sound, lights, and people swarming all around him. His heart beat increased and the monitor buzzed along with it. The surgeons shouted something that was muffled to his ears. A cough erupted from beneath his chest. "Hey, kid! That'll kill you!" A female voice hollered at the boy. "Your heart's much too weak to sustain that right now!"
The boy whimpered. "I'm sorry " He choked out from under a ventilator mask.
A surgeon came over, "Nurse get some anesthetic. We need to get a pace maker in his chest."
"Doctor he already has one." A nurse came over with the syringe. "Actually he's had four previous ones."
The surgeon's eyebrow twitched in annoyance. Why is he still alive!? "Well administer the anesthetic." He demanded over the roar of the machine. "He's fading! Quickly! Move it! NOW!"
The nurse shook her head and frantically put the tip of the needle in his arm. The young boy, barely consc
Uptin ExcerptFeeling weak, Uptin stared at the ceiling with an apathetic expression on his obscure face. He moved the pillow that blocked his face and denounced his opinion on the matters at hand. "We need an innovative action plan that's subtle enough they won't see us!"
"Sir Uptin how in the hell is that relevant to the matters?!" A giant hypocritical man yelled as he stood.
Uptin; laying and indifferent, didn't flinch. "Let's not discern the two subjects; you are making this meeting a waste of my valuable time."
"Sir Uptin!" He shouted. "Our objective is to find a way out of this war!"
"It is not." He rose. His kimono falling open exposing himself. "Now let me tell you something " He collapsed to the ground, the constrictions plaguing him again.
"To be candid with you, I couldn't give a damn." He kicked Uptin in the side. "We would lose the war so there's no ambiguous reason to even give anything a try."
Uptin grabbed the man's ankles. "You shut your fucking mouth." A wheeze passed his lips
